useful emergency meal for one
This is expensive compared to some alternatives, but I recently had this for dinner heated in the microwave when I got back exhausted from travellling. There is a lot of meat, it's tasty, and the vegetable pieces are large enough to be recognisable. If you had to stretch it for two I suppose you could add rice, frozen veg from the freezer, etc.
Yuk
I love Irish stew, this isn't Irish stew. It's expensive £4 & went in the bin. Very strange taste, I'm guessing over use of herbs. Very thick & no other taste but herbs. Very disappointed.
Excellent
I've been buying this Stew for years. Never had a prob with it. But it used to be more flavoursome, now not so much. Mum used to make Irish Stew, but this isn't. It's just Stew. But l still like it, and will continue to buy it. Recommended.
Irish Stew \- Not.
Thick and gloopy , tastes nothing like Irish Stew.
Disappointing
I am a little surprised that some of the reviews describe this as 'insanely delicious' - to me it was reminiscent of school dinners. It wasn't inedible, but only because I added some stock and other seasonings. On the plus side, the meat was tender and the potato was well cooked; so often you find with ready-prepared meals that the potato is hard.
worth having, if only for the joke
With this in the cupboard youll have a prop if you want to do the in the name of the law gag. Whats not to like?
