Preparation and Usage
This product has been specially vacuum sealed to ensure freshness and eating quality. When the pack is opened you may notice the colour brightening and a faint aroma naturally associated with this technology will quickly disappear.
Cooking guidelines
Cooking Instructions - General. Needs cooking
Remove product from packaging.
Do not reheat.; Oven cook - From Chilled. 16 mins
Electric 200°C, Fan 180°C, Gas 6
- Preheat oven.
- Season with pepper and drizzle with oil or add a knob of butter.
- Place the fish on a lightly oiled foil lined baking tray and place in the centre of the oven.
- Cook for 16 mins.
- Allow to stand for 2 mins.; Poach - From Chilled. 6 mins
- Preheat enough water or milk to just cover the fish in a saucepan.
- Once simmering add the fish and simmer for 6 mins.
- Do not boil. Take care that the pan does not boil dry.
- Drain and remove from liquid with a slotted spoon.
- Serve immediately.; Shallow Fry - From Chilled. 8 mins
- Preheat 1 tbsp. (15ml) of oil in a frying pan on a high heat.
- Pat the fish dry on both sides and season with pepper.
- Reduce the heat to medium and place the fish in the pan.
- Cook for 4 mins on a medium heat.
- Turn the fish and continue to cook for a further 2 mins
- Melt a knob of butter in the pan and continue to cook for a further 2 mins, baste regularly with the foaming butter during cooking Thickness of fish may vary, thicker pieces will take longer to cook.
Remove product from packaging.
