Really bad that M&S hide m Mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids behind their scientific number - E471. Be transparent, please, M&S! We know more now and these trans fats are already banned in so many countries, with no safe limit having been identified. Steer clear.

absolutely yummy, so happy I found this.
Butter is...
...butter is essentially milk and sometimes cream (to soften it). But what is this...a quick look at the ingredients and I'd argue, calling this butter is borderline illegal.

Don't always manage to find this in m&s stores so it's a regular buy here. Just wish you could get a bigger pack
Tasteless and unspreadable
This doesn't taste in any way like butter and is not spreadable from the fridge. Won't be buying again, any other lighter spreadable butter is better than this.
best lighter spreadable butter
Im happy to see a lighter spreadable butter thats not diluted down with water or cheap/oxidised/unstable vegetable/seed oils. The flavour isnt as rich as full fat butter, but if you are counting calories, this hits the spot. It was a little too salty for my personal taste, which is strange because I enjoy other butters with 1.5% salt, like the slightly salted President butter. This is a great alternative to margarine type spreads, but I will go back to full fat President spreadable!
