Expensive, but can be flattened with a fork whilst frying to make it look bigger. Nice alternative to salmon & great cooked the French way with red onion, red wine vinegar & sugar. Super speedy & decadent
Got this as a substitute and wasnt disappointed. The steaks had a good colour and were very delicate and flaky. The only thing Id say it is way too expensive for just 200g
Nice fish but picture misleading, very small
Good tune but the photo of the item is very misleading. Looks like you get decent triangle sizes of tuna when what we got is two very small rectangles. The pack is only 200g which id missed, as Id expect te picture to repreent the product, so just 8oz for £8 very expensive.
Sliced tuna, not tuna steaks
If you've ever eaten tuna in a restaurant, you won't believe what is being sold to you as "steaks". These are very thin slices of tuna. I imagine you'd cook them for maybe 15 seconds a side, and even then would struggle to keep them rare. I got these in a flash sale so only paid £4; how silly of me to be tempted by a bargain for something that's so useless. I'd have been happy to have paid £4 for a thicker steak for 1, but not these two thin slices. My other half just laughed when they saw them, and I can imagine anyone from any other country also laughing their heads off at the thought of serving something so daintily useless....
more of a slice than a steak
But very nice. Cooked for 1 minute on each side and that was slightly too long.
Why the price difference from in store?
Thus is nice tuna, although the two pieces were very different sizes - but 8.05 on Ocado and 7.50 in store today. How many other M&S items are cheaper in store?
