Way too sticky and sweet for me
The icing was nice, but the inside of the cake I found far too sweet, and because it's also very gooey it's almost impossible to cut and serve. Especially for the number of people it's supposed to serve.

Bought for a special employee to share with the Team. The perfect balance of flavour, not too sweet. Love by everyone.

its ok.
I was surprised by the reviews I thought Id be wowed! Unfortunately on this occasion it was ok, I feel the frosting tasted too artificial. Presentation wise however, 5*

best shop bought cake
Really lovely cake with great icing. Not dry at all more fudgy. Also a decent size!

Ok, as supermarket cakes go
It is very moist, perhaps overly so, in an odd emulsified/artificial way. It's ok taste wise, but again has a slightly metallic/chemical/artificial tinge to it. At this price point (£26.50) I'm not sure I would buy it again, but did the job of holding up candles and pleasing a sugar-crazed crowd.
