Delicious!
Frangipan topping, delicious cherries, great with Creme Fraiche.
disappointing
Cooked as directed but result was a dry and crumbly dessert, with no sign or texture of sponge. The cherries and almond flavours were nice but I expected more fruit. Was better with custard but overall experience was disappointing, considering the price. Won't buy again.
Went down well with Guests
Im surprised by bad reviews as everyone really enjoyed this. I warmed it up for 10 mins in the oven and served with vanilla ice cream. The almond and cherry flavour is really delicious and the pastry is crisp.
Awful
We used to buy this years ago from M&S so thought we’d treat ourselves. The pastry used to be tasty & crisp, the sponge light and cherries fruity. The extortionately expensive version we received was stodgy pasty, more of a paste than pastry, very little sponge and undercooked. Absolutely disgusting! Refund requested.
A very poor quality product from M\x26S
I purchased this via M&S and as another reviewer stated, there is barely any sponge, just lots of cherries in a watery liquid, sitting on rock-hard pastry. Poor show.
lovely tart - good cherry flavour
We really enjoyed this tart, there were plenty of cherries and almonds and the flavour was a great combination. The pasty is a little dry, but we had cream with ours and that did the trick perfectly. It served 4 greedy adults.
