Taste like Carrots from the Garden

I have tried Organic Carrots from many different shops and these British grown ones are of the best; they really do remind me of the carrots my parents used to grow many years ago. I heartily recommend them during the U.K. season and they are also good when sourced from Italy. Mine have always been delivered fresh and crisp. They are delicious simply eaten raw, cooked up with green vegetables or added into many dishes. I also use them grated and added, along with sliced mushrooms, to the minced meat when making cottage pie or a ragu; this allows me to reduce meat consumption but without the dish being any less enjoyable. They keep well as long as you remove the plastic wrapping and store them in a cool, dark place. I keep carrots in the pantry, not the fridge where they soften. I gave four stars, not five, as the carrots have been jet washed, which destroys some nutrients and means they don’t keep so long, and for the unnecessary plastic bag. If they were available loose, by weight, and unwashed, I would order a kilo weekly; as it is I buy them to top up my quota from a different shop.

My favourite carrots

I can get complacent and then I try other carrots and miss these. Lovely flavour roasted or grated and I get more than a week out of them

Great snack size

These carrots are a bit smaller than 'normal' ones but this makes them perfect for snacking on because they are thinner and done feel like they are gonna snap your teeth. Good taste but nothing special there.
