Little treasure

I love this lettuce in the knowledge it's been grown organically. It's small but it packs a tasty lunch. Only downside is sometimes I've had a smaller than normal lettuce.

Perfect Little Gems!

These organic little gems are excellent! Consistently fresh and crisp with a glorious full, earthy flavour. I love that they have lots of deep green leaves for extra nutritional benefit, and beautiful crisp, crunchy pale yellow interiors. Packed with healthy nutrients: calcium, phosphorous, magnesium, potassium, vitamin C, vitamin K, vitamin A/beta carotene and folate. I love that they are organic and unwashed - a sign that they have not been washed in toxic chemical detergents which a lot of non-organic produce and salads are. Also being unwashed they stay fresh and keep brilliantly in the fridge for ages. I also like Daylesford Organic Little Gem Lettuces for the same reasons.

Best Before date formatted in an unknown code!

Best Before date is unknown code! How is this a good service to customers when this green lettuce does not have a comprehensible Best Before Date code, as we all now there is a finite limit to the life of such vegetables and it is essential to be aware of what the BB Date is before buying and after purchasing too . I'm sorry, but this just seems to be an underhand method of selling produce and M&S are not showing that they have their customer's best interest at heart...What was wrong with the old Best Before Dating system? I understand that Ocado does advise that the product has a life of 3 days+ but then it still means I have to come online to check my last bill to ascertain whether I can eat this lettuce or not. Who benefits from this lack of published information?

Unreliable quality

Very hit and miss, the latest batch was tough, bitter, bruised and simply inedible.

Only good experiences with this item.

I've been buying this fairly regularly and have had no problems with it. It stays fresh a long time and it mild in flavour and crisp.

The ones I have received have always arrived nice and crisp and last for approximately one week which is great. Nice delicate flavour.
