The handles are not rough at all, not my ones at least. They do stain easily depending on what you use them with but not too unsightly and it does start to ease after a few rinses in the dishwasher. The spatula end pops off so you can wash its separately from the handle and after a year of using them, they still fit really snugly!
Don't know what places you are putting the handles, but if you're using the spatulas as intended they work just fine. Also they are super cute
Had to buy these as thought my son would love using these to bake with but the wooden handle is so rough that Im worried about splinters! Yes they are that rough.
Saw these and loved them immediately. Have had to drop a star as the tip of the spatula is already stained orange from bean juice after only one use.
