My favourite, lovely beef paste
The review from ‘Twinkles’ seems to a gross exaggeration. ‘Smell it all over the house’? ‘Worse food product ever purchased’? This is a very good product. 90% beef makes it good quality.
Best potted beef ever
I have always loved this! I literally don’t like any other potted beef. Always been my favourite sandwich filler. Just wish I could get hold of some

Best potted beef ever
I love this, no slimy or gritty like other brands, just the right amount of everything, 90% British beef and all natural flavours with a fat coating. I have it on crackers or bread and can eat a whole pot to myself in one meal.
Absolutely awful
I was really looking forward to opening this jar. I was shocked at the terrible smell of this potted beef, it has a long use by date so it’s not “off “ I could smell it all over the house. I tasted a tiny bit and, yuk!!! Horrible, I am so disappointed with this product. I have been buying M&S food since they first started selling food and I and all my family love and trust M& S but this potted beef is the worst food product we have ever opened.
Tastes awful now
Bought this years ago in-store: a simple, quick snack spread on crusty bead with sliced tomatoes. Still buy 2 or 3 jars from time to time but no more as it now tastes strongly of offal whereas it used to have a mild taste of peppery beef. Just my taste buds but really unpleasant and had to ditch. Has a crumbly, dry texture which wont spread. Perhaps they messed with the recipe to keep the price down?
