• Preheat oven
• Remove pastry from fridge 10 mins before use
• Remove all packaging and unroll, leaving the pastry on the baking paper provided. If the pastry begins to crack
on unrolling, leave for 5-10 more mins
• Cut to required size or as stated in recipe
• Place pastry on the baking paper on a baking tray in the centre of the oven

Apple Frangipane
Tart
1 Pack of M&S puff pastry
75g Ground almonds
75g Golden caster sugar
75g Softened butter
1 Medium egg
1 Orange
4 Large apples
Crème fraîche to serve
Oven 200°C / Fan 180°C / Gas mark 6
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/ Fan 180°C/ Gas mark 6 and line a large baking tray with greaseproof paper.
2. In a bowl, mix the almonds, caster sugar and butter. Add the egg and half the juice from the orange and whisk until well-combined.
3. Peel, core and slice the apples into 1cm thick pieces.
4. Unroll the puff pastry sheet and cut evenly into 6 rectangles.
5. Place the pastry pieces on the baking tray and score a 1cm border around each one. Using a fork, prick the base of the pastry inside the borders.
6. Spread the frangipane mix inside each of the borders, so it's around 0.5cm thick. Then gently place the apples on top, being careful not to push down too hard.
7. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes until the pastry edges are golden.
8. Finish with a dollop of crème fraîche and orange zest.
