Freshness Varies
Sometimes you're lucky and sometimes you're not with the freshness. Try now, to use at start of week after delivery when meal planning due to the inconsistent freshness
always fresh, lasts a good while in the fridge
These spring onions are always fresh and decently sized (no limp looking measly ones). They last maybe 2 weeks in the fridge.
Bit ropey
We can only eat the green top of the spring onion - these are frequently slimy and we have to discard much of it.
Why so expensive, Ocado?
This is one of those products that is so much more expensive from Ocado and I just dont understand why that should be the case. They are sooo much more pricey that I try to buy them elsewhere when Im out and about which often means I buy more groceries from competitors. Come on, Ocado, sort out your pricing on these.
good fridge staple
So versatile - although I dont eat them raw on salads as the name suggests! Pop in a stir fry, drop in a stew, fry with mushrooms for a toast topping.
