Our Scottish Hot Smoked Herring fillets are traditionally hot smoked over oak and beech wood by expert smokers in Arbroath, creating a medium smoke flavour with a gently sweet, savoury finish. Made with Scottish herring, these skin-on, bone-in fillets stay moist and flaky, with the skin adding a little extra richness as it warms. Enjoy straight from the pack, or gently flake into salads, pasta or warm potatoes for a smoky boost. They also work well stirred through scrambled eggs, folded into fishcakes, or topped with a squeeze of lemon and cracked black pepper.
