500g Seeded & Malted
Bread Flour
7g Sachet Dried Yeast
1½ tsp Sea Salt
10g Butter Or Olive Oil
270ml Tepid Water
Oven 220° / Fan 200°C / Gas mark 7
1. Place the dry ingredients, butter, or oil in a large bowl.
2. Add the water and mix to become a soft dough.
3. Turn the dough out onto a surface, knead for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
4. Cover with oiled cling film, rest for 1 hour.
5. Knock back the dough for 1 minute.
6. Place the shaped dough into a pre-greased 900g/2lb loaf tin. Re-cover with oiled cling film.
7. Prove in a warm place until it doubles in size, approximately 1 hour.
8. Preheat the oven to 220°C/Fan 200°C/ Gas Mark 7.
9. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and sounds hollow when tapping the base.
10. Cool on a wire rack.

great bread flour
All the family love this flour and I love the seeds very tasty!!
Makes a fabulous sourdough bread loaf!
This is moist and nutty. I used it in place of my normal flour for sourdough bread, and it came out really well. The mix was slightly wetter, so I added 100g more flour to the normal 900g (and 600ml water). This will probably become a family favourite!
makes amazing bread
I love this flour, use it in the bread machine and it makes the tastiest loaves. Been unable to get it for ages, please bring it back M&S and Ocado!!!!

although nice tasting when cooked the dough it makes is very sticky compared with other brands of the same kind of flour
Great flour, lousy packaging
I use this in my bread maker and for making bread rolls which are both great. HOWEVER, in one of the stupidest re-packaging initiatives ever M&S are now packaging all their bread flours in identical white bags so I now have to pick them out of the cupboard and carefully read the label to see which is which.
Good Crust
I used the recipie on the reverse of the packet. The proving was done in a sourdough bread basket, the loaf maintained its shape after tipping out onto baking sheet to bake. Nice soft middle with a good crust. I would have liked more seeds.
