Recipes
One large loaf
Delicious served with salted butter.
500g Seeded & Malted
Bread Flour
7g Sachet Dried Yeast
1½ tsp Sea Salt
10g Butter Or Olive Oil
270ml Tepid Water
Oven 220° / Fan 200°C / Gas mark 7
1. Place the dry ingredients, butter, or oil in a large bowl.
2. Add the water and mix to become a soft dough.
3. Turn the dough out onto a surface, knead for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
4. Cover with oiled cling film, rest for 1 hour.
5. Knock back the dough for 1 minute.
6. Place the shaped dough into a pre-greased 900g/2lb loaf tin. Re-cover with oiled cling film.
7. Prove in a warm place until it doubles in size, approximately 1 hour.
8. Preheat the oven to 220°C/Fan 200°C/ Gas Mark 7.
9. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and sounds hollow when tapping the base.
10. Cool on a wire rack.
Delicious served with salted butter.
