Our sweet, smoky and tangy Carolina BBQ pulled pork is gently slow cooked for guaranteed tenderness, falling apart perfectly when pulled. Cooked in a delicious spiced smoky rub and served with a sweet and tangy Carolina BBQ sauce with a hint of chilli. Perfect served in a brioche bun with sweet potato fries and coleslaw. Oven cooks in 45 minutes or microwave in six minutes. Gluten free. Serves 2.

Preparation and Usage

Shred the tender pork shoulder + place on top of nacho crisps + top with grated cheese & chilli = spicy nacho platter

This product must be cooked before consumption.
This product is sous vide (i.e. this product is cooked slowly in a sealed pouch for several hours).

Instructions

Cooking Instructions - General. Needs Cooking
After cooking, leave to stand for 2 mins.
After cooking, shred meat with 2 forks and stir.
Do not reheat.; Microwave - From Chilled. 750W 6 mins
900W 5 mins, 30 secs
Remove pork from pouch and discard cooking juices.
Place onto a microwaveable plate. Pour on the sauce for the last 30 secs of cooking.; Oven cook - From Chilled. Electric 200°C, Fan 180°C, Gas 6, 45 mins
Preheat oven. Remove all packaging and place sauce sachet to one side. Transfer pork and juices to foil tray provided. Cover with foil and place on middle shelf of oven. Cook for 35 mins. Remove from oven and discard any juices. Pour contents of sauce sachet over pork. Cook uncovered for a further 10 mins.

For Use By, see front of pack. Keep refrigerated 0°C to +5°C. Once opened, use immediately. This product has been frozen and returned to chill temperature. Further freezing will not affect quality. Freeze by date mark shown and use within 3 months. Once defrosted (in a refrigerator) use immediately. Defrost thoroughly before use.

Far too sweet.

We didn't really enjoy this at all. The meat was actually fine, but the sauce is much too sweet. Won't be buying again.

Pork is nice, sauce isn’t

I snipped a corner off the sauce sachet and it smelt far too vinegary and didn’t taste nice, so I cooked the pork as instructed, shredded it (removing any fat), popped on a burger bun with apple sauce and it was very nice.

tender and delicious.

This just needs to be cooked properly in the oven, cover with foil and drain the juices once cooked (you can save these for a gravy), then add the sauce for the last 10mins. If you break it up/mix it all together then it is absolutely delicious. My whole family loved it - included a fussy teenager! It serves 3 if you add extra vegetable sides with potatoes or rice (rice goes well with it)

weird sauce

Pork was ok but the sauce was sour and does not taste anything BBQ
