M&S Super Soft Wholemeal Medium Sliced Bread

Super-soft and light, this wholemeal medium-sliced loaf is a natural source of Vitamin D and fibre. Great for making sandwiches.
All of our breads are a natural source of Vitamin D and Fibre, two nutrients that are naturally low in our diets. We use a natural source of Vitamin D that is produced by yeast, which is why you will find ‘yeast’ on our list of ingredients, not because we use it as part of the dough making process.

Why same price as same loaf double the size?

This leads to so much waste. I buy the large loaf as "better value" but end up throwing half away! Also sell by date of these loaves (400 and 800gm) is nearly always 2-3 days and not the average quoted. In addition, my nearest M&S sells these loaves with a 5-6 day shelf life so Ocado is sending old stock.

Burnt and Dry

I buy this a lot and I also buy the larger loaf, sometimes the best before dates on both are quite short, but this week it was 3 days, unfortunately though it was burnt on the top of the loaf as though it had been cooked for too long. It was also dry on the day it was delivered. I will try again as this could be a one off as it is usually OK. I can't comment again though as once you have commented you can't comment again, which is a shame as I would like to post an update.

good bread

This bread is well priced, simple but tasty. It is not the most exciting bread but it is healthy and is good when toasted and covered in butter.
