Made from chardonnay grapes, grown in the Maconnais in the south of Burgundy, this unoaked wine is an excellent example of modern white Burgundy. It is crisp and dry with fresh citrus and peach flavours, displaying a hint of minerality true to its origin.

It is crisp and dry with fresh citrus and peach flavours displaying a hint of minerality true to it's origin. Serve lighlty chilled as an aperitif or with fish, seafood, chicken and white meat.
Cave de Lugny, the largest wine-growing co-operative in the Burgundy region, was founded in 1926 by Henry Boulay at Saint Gengoux de Scissé. The Cave de Lugny was created in 1927 under the chairmanship of Eugéne Blanc.
Regional Information
The Mácon-Villages is produced from Cave de Lugny vineyards, all based around the village of Lugny.
The soil is predominately made of limestone, with South-South East facing slopes.
The average vine age is around 30 years.

Vinification Details
Pneumatic pressing of grapes. Temperature controlled alcoholic fermantation, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine is matured with it's lees in stainless steel vats for a minimum 6 months then bottled in traditional Burgundy bottles.

Tasted sour

l love a strong wine, however this was sour and very young tasting. Would not buy again, and actually poured it out...
