Regional information

The grapes come from high-altitude vineyards in the upper Luján de Cuyo (Agrelo and Ugarteche) and lower Valle de Uco, at around 800-900 metres above sea level. Located in Mendoza's rain shadow on the edge of the Andes, the region has a dry, semi-desert climate with very low rainfall.

Vinification details

Grapes are hand-harvested early in the morning and quickly taken to the winery to preserve freshness. They are gently crushed and destemmed before fermentation in large tanks using selected yeasts. Fermentation lasts around 10 days at a controlled temperature, with regular gentle management to keep the skins moist and ensure soft, balanced tannins. The wine is then racked off the solids and transferred to tank for malolactic fermentation to soften and round the final style.
