This Mandi Refosco by Borgo Conventi comes from the Isonzo area of Friuli and is produced with Refosco grapes grown on flat vineyards characterized by clayey and skeletal soil. The microclimate of the area is influenced by mild winters and hot summers, with the Alps to the north protecting the vineyards from cold winds.

On the nose it offers excellent aromatic intensity, with pronounced and penetrating hints of violet and blackberry. On the palate it is lively and consistent, with a pleasant harmony between the fruity notes and the structure.

This red wine pairs perfectly with dishes such as lamb, roast meats, pasta with pesto and blue cheeses.

Vinification details


The vinification involves fermentation with maceration on the skins in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature of 26-28°C for about 8-10 days. After fermentation, the wine ages in steel until the following spring, when it is bottled to preserve the varietal characteristics of Refosco.
