A classic Rioja Reserva crafted from Tempranillo, Graciano, Mazuelo and Viura, sourced from vineyards with some vines dating back to 1940. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, followed by a further 18 months of bottle maturation, Marqués de Tomares Reserva combines the depth and complexity of old-vine fruit with the elegance of extended ageing. Rich and refined, it offers layers of ripe fruit, spice and oak, showcasing the timeless character of traditional Rioja.

Although not big in size, the nature region of La Rioja has different climatic zones, as a result of its geography; Atlantic, Atlantic-Mediterranean and Mediterranean, which gives its unique characteristics for cultivation and production of their wines.
Tasting notes
Complex and expressive, with aromas of ripe red berries, violet and sweet spice, complemented by notes of chocolate and toasted oak. Smooth and beautifully integrated on the palate, with concentrated red fruit flavours, refined tannins and a long, elegant finish.

Manual harvest with baskets. 100% destemmed grapes. Maceration of 30 days, with two daily pumping over an hour long each. Aged for 24 months in French oak and American oak with racking every 6 months and a minimum of 30 months in bottle.
