fantastic porridge

Makes a really nice textured porridge (my tip is heat it up then leave to stand covered for 5mins or so and gives a good balance with some bite and smoothness). Great that its a fair price too for a quality product.

dont use to make quick porridge

I have used many brands of oats to make microwave porridge but this one was like eating grit. Definitely dont buy if thats what youre going to use it for

Soaked 1/3 cup overnight with double the quantity of almond milk. Added frozen blueberries in the morning and microwaved for 1 minute, 20 seconds. Stirred through almond/coconut butter. Delicious and filling breakfast for one. I'm a big fan of mornflake cereals. This porridge has more of a nutty bite texture than their organic oats which are much softer. Have also used this toasted in cranachan, whipped with the whisky cream and also sprinkled on the top.

traditional Scottish porridge

Soak overnight in water (with salt) to plump and soften the oats This also makes the beta glucan work to provide most health benefits Bring to boil stirring constantly until thick as you want it Pour in to bowl Add milk (sugar etc) Not sure of quantity as I learned by shake of this slosh of that from my mum!

These make good porridge

I bought these because I wanted to try pinhead oats after reading about the health and benefits and the reviews were really positive. I agree with the comments! Really nice porridge, it did take longer to cook than other oats I've had but I'm really happy with the result.
