Lovely smooth flavour

Ocado sent me this to review. I wouldn't normally buy dark rum as I'm quite partial to Bacardi however this was really smotth mixed with Pepsi and had a nice kick to it

Smooth with pleasant after taste

I was sent this to review. I am not a rum drinker but have enjoyed it in cocktails. I don't have much to compare it to which is why I have not given it 5 stars but it was quite pleasant to drink but more noticeable was the pleasant lingering after taste. I guess I expected it to have more of a strong rum flavour but as others have said it almost tastes like a whiskey (to an untrained palette at least) but I guess that is darker rums.

Give it a try if you like sweet \x26 smoky

I’m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. The smell reminds me of vodka, I could quickly tell the alcohol is higher than normal. When drinking straight, the flavor was quite smooth and somewhat sweet with a smokiness that reminded me of the whiskeys I generally drink and I enjoyed it, but there is a LOT of burn after that I wasn't expecting. I didn't know there was rum like this. I'm used to drinking rum as a mixer with coke when I'm out, the standard much sweeter, lower alcohol content ones. This made me pull out my other rums and compare because I'd always thought they were fine, but this made me rethink things and if you like a sweeter, but strong spirit give this a go. I'll stick to whisky as I don't prefer the extra sweetness personally, but I'd recommend anyone to try this. And if I were buying something to drink with mixers for say a party, I'll probably stick to something sweeter with a lower alcohol content as it took more mixer to cover the alcohol taste and for the price it doesn't make sense to use where it won't be appreciated.

Naughty but nice

I was sent a sample of this to review, and I was pleasantly surprised. A quality rum that is equally delicious with coke or just simply on the rocks. Highly recommended.
