Theyre not bad, the texture is spot on but the flavour is a bit bland, masked by quite a bit of pepper. Like quite a few reviewers, I do prefer the Tivall.
A great tasting Vegan hot dog
Im more delighted that I tricked my son into eating them! He didnt even twig they werent meat, normally he can! I thought they were nice but there was a slight bitter taste to them.
Tasty frankfurter style vegan sausages
Ive tried many vegan hot dog style sausages and these are, by far, the best and closest to traditional frankfurters in taste and texture. I cook mine in the oven direct from frozen, brushed with a little oil and on a parchment lined baking tray. 20 mins at 180C. Perfect with American mustard and ketchup.
Soft Texture, no flavour
Not much flavour, texture is soft, Tivall is so much better, hope Ocado brings those back.
Maybe Im just not a hot dog person
I just cooked them in water as indicated and ate them in a white hot dog roll with sauerkraut and mustard and I have to say, that's just too stodgy to repeat any time soon. As vegan hot dogs go I can't say I've had better either though so maybe I just prefer sausages, and the Moving Mountains sausage burgers are way better.
Not buying anything else again
