Further description
This outdoor cucumber will also crop well in growing bags and large pots, but it needs plenty of watering and occasional feeding.
Preparation and Usage
Sow indoors for surest results, 0.5cm deep, edge down, in small pots of compost. Water well and place in a warm position. A temperature of 20-25°C. is ideal. Keep moist. Seedlings usually appear in 7-21 days. When plants have developed 3 or 4 leaves, transplant to larger pots and grow on in cooler, but not cold conditions. Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out 60cm apart, when frosts are over. Or sow outdoors for ease, where they are to crop, 0.5cm deep, directly into finely prepared soil. Allow 60cm between positions. For best results feed regularly when fruits begin to set.
