Preparation and Usage

For indoor sowing
When February to March.
Where In trays of seed compost.
How Sow thinly, cover with 0.5cm of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover tray with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 15-20°C.
Care Remove cover when seedlings appear. Gradually acclimatise to outside conditions from late May (avoid frosts). When large enough, transplant 5cm apart in trays. Transplant 30cm apart into flowering position. Keep moist moist and weed free.
Flowers June to August, the same year.

For outdoor sowing
When April to May.
Where In a prepared seed bed, in flowering position.
How Sow thinly in rows 30cm apart. Cover lightly with 0.5cm of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist.
Care When large enough, thin to 30cm apart. Keep moist and weed free.
Flowers July to September.
