Water well until plants are established. Cloche protection in autumn allows winter picking. Or to grow indoors sow 0.5cm deep, thinly in small pots of compost. Water well and place in a warm position. A temperature of 15-20°C.is ideal. Plants can be grown on a light windowsill. Harvesting: Pick the leaves as required, (outdoor crops from May). Pick a few leaves from each plant so they regrow quickly.
