Tasty and filling

Having read all the reviews, I decided to open the tin to see what lurked inside. Well, definitely not a soup ......but it was packed chock a block full of lentils in a tasty tomato sauce. So....I microwaved half the can and added cooked lentil spaghetti which I then served on a bed of steamed veg. Hearty, filling and healthy. I didn't find it too salty but didn't add any extra salt to the spaghetti or veg. I'll definitely have this spaghetti 'bolognese' again!

soooo salty

I loved the sound of this soup but as I eat a fairly low salt diet I just didnt like it. In fact I didnt finish it, which is unheard of!!

Very nice

I really liked this soup. It has a good amount of lentils and it was tasty. It was slightly more salty than I would have liked, I thought it would have been better to replace the additional salt with a spot of tomato puree or green beans to add to the flavour, rather than the salt. But I went back for more as soon as my bowl was finished so overall, it was nice and I would buy it again, especially at the offer price.

But, is this soup?

I would argue that this isn't a soup. It's a bowl of lentils in not much sauce. I added alot of red chillis, sweetcorn and half a tin of tomatos and a dash of siricha sauce and made it into a very nice spicy soup but I wouldn't have fancied it just on its own. What I did create I really did enjoy though and would buy again and use this as a base.
