Preparing your baby's feed
Because powdered milks are not sterile, failure to follow instructions may make your baby ill.

1 Wash your hands and sterilise all equipment according to manufacturer's instructions.
2 Boil 1 litre of fresh tap water. Leave to cool for no more than 30 minutes (the temperature needs to be at least 70°C). Do not use water that is artificially softened or has been boiled before. Pour the required amount of water (see feeding guide) into a sterilised bottle. Be careful of scalding.
3 Using only the scoop provided, lightly fill with powder and level off with the leveller built into the rim of the tin. Add the required number of scoops.
4 Place the sterilised teat and cap on the bottle and shake well until the powder is fully dissolved.
5 Cool bottle under a running cold tap until it is lukewarm. Test the temperature on the inside of your wrist. Feed immediately.
Important Feeding Instructions: Use only the 4.3g scoop provided.
- Always add one level scoop of powder (4.3g) to each 30ml of cooled, boiled water.
- For hygiene reasons, do not store made up feeds.
- Use feeds within 2 hours at most.
- Always use freshly boiled and cooled water.
- Always discard unfinished feeds.
- Make up each feed as required.
- Do not heat in a microwave as hot spots may occur and cause scalding.
- Do not add extra scoops of powder, or anything else to your baby's feed.
- Do not leave your child alone during feeding.
