Red Kidney Beans are easy to use as they have already been soaked and fully cooked, unlike dried pulses. Can be used in many dishes, including risottos, sauces, salads and casseroles. High in protein, a source of fibre and 1 of your 5 a day. Pulses have long been a staple part of the Italian diet and Napolina's are carefully selected before being rigorously checked to ensure that only the best of the crop are chosen.

(Tuscan red bean salad)
Take 2 handfuls of each, fresh spinach, rocket and baby gem lettuce. Place the leaves into a bowl and scatter over 50g sliced green olives, 1 sliced red onion, 1 jar of pre-roasted red peppers chopped, 20g toasted pine nuts and 400g red kidney beans. Make a simple dressing by whisking together 3tbsp of extra virgin olive oil, 2tbsp balsamic vinegar and 1 clove of crushed garlic, pour the dressing over the salad and mix well. Finely crumble over 200g of Gorgonzola cheese and 20g of grated parmesan and serve.
