FLAVOUR IS A FRONTIER
Natoora Italian Mammole Artichokes
- We source Mammole Artichokes from their native growing region of Lazio.
- Mammole are a late season variety of artichoke known for its spherical, dense head and meaty leaves.
- With minimal choke and spineless bracts, very little is wasted.
- We only source from growers who share our dedication to minimum intervention growing - without the use of chemical sprays or fertilisers - to guarantee good soil health and a natural rate of development.
- A hardy variety which will see us through to the spring, thanks to its excellent resistance to the cold.
Take it further
- Peel the stalk, trim the outermost leave and remove the choke. Slice thinly, toss with lemon juice, olive oil and seasoning.
- Prepare whole and braise slowly in white wine, parsley and olive oil.
Natoora's radical approach to seasonal sourcing is shaping the future of food
- We are revolutionising the food system.
- We work direct with growers who value flavour, biodiversity and heritage over yield.
- We give them the support they need to build a better future for food, rooted in small scale, sustainable agriculture that gives back to our planet.

Delicious
These were absolutely wonderful. Very fleshy and so tasty. Followed an Italian recipe, and it was a bit fiddly to prepare but so worth it. Will definitely order again.
Goodness this was wonderful
Reminded me of the real, fresh artichokes I had as a child.
Tasted OK Not as good as Natoora Tema artichokes
Too expensive at full price. I was lucky to get on flash sale and they did taste good and a lot can be eaten, but not the stem, as too bitter. Did not taste as good as Tema artichokes, but when I bought the Tema, I had one that was much bigger than the other one. I would only recommend when on sale due to price. Sadly not organic either.
Fantastic artichokes
I thought that these were expensive so when they were in a flash sale I bought some. They are so good, best I have tasted and worth every penny even at full price.
fab
Ordered these for my Italian mother in law who cooked them by boiling them whole with cheese and garlic in between the leaves (her traditional style) She thought these were amazing (bearing in mind she grew up with fresh ones in Sicily!)
Super tender, it is great eaten as a salad
This variety, as well as the Tema artichokes, is great eaten raw in a salad (I first soak the thinly sliced artichoke in lemon juice for 30 min, then drain it, and dress it with salt, olive oil and parmesan shavings). My daughter loves it too.
