FLAVOUR IS EVERYTHING
Natoora Sicilian Tiger Plum Tomatoes
What makes Natoora tomatoes better than the norm?
Far too many tomatoes are aggressively grown, using hydroponics and hormones. Our visually striking Tiger Plum Tomatoes are grown directly in the soil by Francesco at our growing project in Sicily, where they are bee-pollinated and treated with minimum intervention.
What is a Tiger Plum Tomato?
Grown slowly, these dark-coloured tomatoes have intense, concentrated sweetness absorbed from the nutrient-rich soil. As we know patience is a key to great flavour, these tomatoes are left to fully ripen on the vine for as long as possible, exerting a stress that creates exceptional flavour.
How to serve Tiger Plum Tomatoes
Dice and softly cook down to make a gorgeous pasta sauce with fennel seeds, chilli, garlic and marjoram. They’re perfect when mostly untouched in a simple tomato salad, with nothing but a generous drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and a sprinkling of flaky sea salt.
What is Natoora?
Natoora sells flavour-first produce sourced through direct and transparent relationships with our growers. Not only does this create a unique supply chain; but through face-to-face conversations with our growers and tasting their produce at origin, we always know what’s in season, ensuring that our produce is at its freshest and most flavourful when it reaches you. Natoora also works with deli, dairy and dry goods producers who share our commitment to provenance, and we make our own range of soups, dips, juices and wholegrain sourdough breads.
Our packaging is plastic-free and home compostable. Dispose of the blue punnet in your normal recycling and the clear film in your food waste bin.
