Natoora Sweet Italian Melon

What is a Zerbinati melon?

Natoora sources our melons directly from Oscar Zerbinati, a specialist melon grower in the northeast of Italy. These melons are famed for their sweetness from their undiluted sugars and for their juice saturated flesh. They are grown in open, untreated fields, entirely unsprayed, and left to ripen in direct sun, picked only when the leaves are golden and the skin is almost bursting with flavour. The clay soil in the area withholds moisture from the plants, exerting the vital stress that creates exceptional flavour.

Oscar grows two varieties of orange flesh melons: rough-skinned Sun Sweet and smoother Honey Moon.

How to: serve a Zerbinati Melon

It’s best to keep the preparation simple. Brush with extra virgin olive oil, then drape with Parma ham. Or, serve with thin slices of Pecorino and rocket for a simple summer salad.

What is Natoora?

Natoora sells flavour-first produce sourced through direct and transparent relationships with our growers. Not only does this create a unique supply chain; but through face-to-face conversations with our growers and tasting their produce at origin, we always know what’s in season, ensuring that our produce is at its freshest and most flavourful when it reaches you. Natoora also works with deli, dairy and dry goods producers who share our commitment to provenance, and we make our own range of soups, dips, juices and wholegrain sourdough breads.

Our packaging is plastic-free and home compostable. Dispose of the blue punnet in your normal recycling and the clear film in your food waste bin.
