FLAVOUR IS A FRONTIER
Natoora Winter Tomato Selection
- A mix of Winter Tomato varieties: Iberiko from Almeria in Spain and Marinda from Sicily. These are tomato varieties that can only reach their full potential during winter.
- Stressed by the cold and exposed to fewer hours of daylight, the plants must work harder to produce ripe fruit.
- The plants are put under even greater duress by the salinity of their coastal growing environment. Using a finely-tuned balance of rainfall and seawater, the growers irrigate the plants just enough to keep them alive.
- In these conditions the plants are forced to mature slowly, drawing on the unique balance of natural salts and minerals in the soil.
- Ripening from the inside out, their skins remain firm and streaked with green. However their flavour is fully developed, balancing the bright acidity of their seeds with the distinct umami sweetness of their slow-ripened flesh.
- In season only from the end of December to early May, this flavour profile cannot be replicated at any other time of year.
Take it further
- Cut into wedges, served on toast with burrata.
- Cooked into a fresh pasta sauce with garlic.
Our packaging is plastic-free
- We have developed our own revolutionary packaging which is entirely plastic-free and home disposable. Each of our recyclable cardboard punnets is flow-wrapped with home-compostable film which, unlike traditional plastic flow-wrap, disintegrates within 180 days. Dispose of the black punnet in your normal recycling and the clear film in your food waste bin.
- Each punnet bears the ‘Plastic Free’ mark of A Plastic Planet, a grassroots movement which aims to turn off the plastic tap.
Natoora's radical approach to seasonal sourcing is shaping the future of food
- We are revolutionising the food system.
- We work direct with growers who value flavour, biodiversity and heritage over yield.
- We give them the support they need to build a better future for food, rooted in small scale, sustainable agriculture that gives back to our planet.

erm
£8.25 for tomatoes. They werent gold plated unfortunately.
Tough, really tough
My pack had very tough skins and taste was nothing special. Would never buy again.
Great flavour
Deep colour, a fairly thick skin, delicious flavour. Bought in a flash sale (the only way I'd buy them) there were just two days before the use by date. Around half were firm but the remainder had softened and there was some decay on two - I threw one away. I would have been unhappy if I'd paid full price. As it was, wonderful bruschetta!
Great taste but very expensive
The packaging shows 400gram but they are advertised as 500 gram. I had 8 tomatoes which at full price works out at £1 per tomato for 1 large and 7 small/medium tomatoes. I got them fortunately in a flash sale with 60% off but at £3+ they were still too expensive. They tasted great and I really enjoyed them but they lost 2 stars because of the cost.
gorgeous tomatoes
These are absolutely lovely and were fantastic for lunch with Basil and mozzarella. We love Natoora and these are on our favourites list !!
Underweight but good tomatoes
nice sweet tomatoes and a treat in depths of winter to have something with a good taste. But I ordered 2 packs, each came in at 400g, which feels like I was cheated, for something that is already an extravagance.
