OK. Prefer the 'just nut' butters personally
Perhaps I just got used to the nothing added Meridien ones but I now prefer that type to the trendy new ones with added coconut, cacao etc. I'm actually looking forward to finishing this pot and going back to basics. Shame I didn't feel indulged given the price.
I wouldn't call it indulgent!
I bought this when it was on offer, and honestly I would not buy it again. It is very oily and the oil needs a lot of stirring in. Sadly, the addition of the coconut does nothing to improve the flavour which is quite frankly bland. It tries to be something it is not; it is neither a chocolate spread, or a nut spread. Personally I prefer other brands of mixed nut butters, or wholenut peanut butters. And it is nowhere near as indulgent as Nutella for example. Nice try, but it misses the mark for me. Very expensive for such a small pot too.
This was a bit different from your usual peanut butter - very tasty simply drizzled over sliced apple for a snack. But needs a really good stir when opening the jar as separates.
Peanut Butter With Knobs On
I havent quite found the right vehicle for this yet - its a nut butter with cacao nibs Ive had it on banana bread and toast so far. It has nice little crunchy bits and isnt too sweet. Might be good on a cinnamon bagel.
The Poshest Peanut Butter Ive Ever Had
This is nice. I planned to have it on toast, but in all honesty I ended up eating it out the pot. I keep it in the fridge to firm it up a bit. Was great.
It was ok, but a little bitter. I felt like it was kind of an acquired taste, but my husband really disliked it. We both like nuts in general, so not sure what it was.
