Product information

This product is as good as it gets. Water, organic oats and a little bit of sea salt for flavor. That’s it. Then this product is packaged in a process that allows it to be stored without refrigeration. That means you can take it to the summer cottage and store it in the hall and then pop it into the fridge to chill before using. If you are familiar with our other products we recommend that you try this one. It has the potential to win some shelf space in your home.

What's amazing
It’s all in the oats. 100% organic oats that are grown in clean soil and spend the summer getting rained on to grow strong. It’s vegan approved and contains no added sugar whatsoever.

What might be less amazing
If you are the kind of consumer who pays a lot of attention to the details, you might compare the back of all of our packages and come up with a theory that this particular product doesn’t have all the vitamins and extra calcium that our enriched products do. Of course it doesn’t. We are not allowed to enrich an organic product and still label it organic but if you think about it you can also choose an enriched product if that is more important for you.

Last but not least
Store unopened packages in room temperature. Once opened, keep cool at max 8º C. If the sun is shining outside, you should get out there and enjoy it.

Tasteless

Watery taste. I wouldn't use it again for drinks or porridge. I prefer the Barista edition, but I can't find the organic and healthier version in Ocado.

Strange texture

Im on the fence about recommending this as I love that it hasnt got added seed oils. But, the texture makes it impossible for me to drink in lattes as its a bit gloopy. Its the same issue I have if I make my own oat milk - its like very watery porridge. The consistency is almost slimy and it turns my stomach. Im sure it would be great in porridge (although a bit pointless as its just more oats and water!) or as a small amount in tea and coffee, but on its own it just doesnt work for me at all.

Great with porridge

I love it, but they keep putting the price up. Just broken the £2 barrier I see! Might have to go back to milk.

Not very good in hot drinks

This oat milk is fine for cereal, porridge cooking, etc. but not very good in tea or coffee. It's quite watery, doesn't have much flavour and it can also split. I like that it has minimal ingredients, no stabilisers or emulsifiers.

Perfect in every respect!

My favourite Plenish Organic Oat Milk was discontinued and replaced with a barista version with added coconut cream, so I tried this – it is outstanding! Equally as delicious and healthy as the original organic Plenish oat milk, with identical ingredients in exactly the same proportions. It is glorious – organic, no additives like oils, stabilisers or emulsifiers, just three simple clean ingredients and tastes absolutely gorgeous. The clean, creamy depth of flavour is exceptional. Perfect with cereals and porridge, lovely in tea and coffee, delicious as a drink on its own (cold and warm). Also brilliant in cooking. The reason I chose Plenish was that Plenish used British Organic Oats whereas Oatly uses Swedish (British and Swedish companies). Also worth noting that Plenish specified Gluten Free Oats but Oatly doesn’t mention gluten free – this doesn’t bother me but it could affect some people. This is outstanding - perfect in every respect!
