Ocado Beef Rolled Brisket Slow Roasting Joint.
Serves 3 to 5 people.
Each 1kg of raw beef will provide approximately five 120g servings after roasting and trimming the fat.

Beef brisket is a richly flavoured cut of beef that's traditionally slow-cooked at a low temperature, ensuring a tender and delicious joint. It's perfect for use as the main ingredient in a casserole, curry or pie, and on sunnier days, once cooked, can be charred on the BBQ and smothered in your favourite spicy sauce.

Keep refrigerated 0 to +5ºC.
Once opened, use immediately.

Do not exceed the Use By date.

Suitable for freezing. Freeze on or before Use By date. Use within 1 month. Defrost thoroughly before cooking and consume on day of defrosting. Do not refreeze.

Remove all packaging. Wash hands, all surfaces and utensils after touching raw meat. Keep raw meat separate from cooked foods.

Oven: 160ºC / Fan 140ºC / Gas 3
4 hours

1. Allow joint to stand at room temperature for 15 minutes before cooking and preheat the oven.
2. Heat 1 tsp of oil in a casserole dish over a high heat. Add diced vegetables and soften.
3. Place joint on top of the vegetables. Add stock, water or wine to cover 1/2 the joint. Bring to boil. Add liquid and place into the oven for 4 hours.
4. Stock, water or wine may be topped up during cooking.
5. Rest for 10 minutes before serving. Serve with gravy.
