This British chicken crown is seasoned to perfection with a simple sea salt and pepper glaze, giving it a tasty, crispy skin. If your chicken crown starts looking a little too crispy for comfort, simply cover with foil for the last 15 minutes of cooking.

The size is ideal for three people, but if you prefer to roast it for multiple meals, serve it up hot or cold with fresh vegetables and salads, slice or stuff in sandwiches and pittas, or shred to stir through pasta and stir-fry dishes.

Once opened, keep refrigerated and consume within 1 day.

Do not exceed the Use By date.

Suitable for freezing. Freeze by date mark shown and use within 1 month. Defrost thoroughly before use. Do not refreeze once defrosted and consume within 1 day.

Remove sleeve and film. Wash hands, all surfaces and utensils after touching raw poultry. Keep raw poultry separate from cooked foods.

Oven: 200ºC / Fan 180ºC / Gas 6
1hr 5 mins - 1hr 10 mins

Place foil tray in the centre of a preheated oven for 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and carefully spoon the cooking juices over the chicken. Return to the oven and cook for a further 20-25 minutes until the chicken crown is golden brown.

Remove from the oven and pierce the thickest part of the crown with a skewer to check that there is no pink meat and that the juices run clear.

Rest for 5-10 minutes then place on a chopping board and carve.
