Firm, crisp and crunchy, I enjoyed them and will buy again
Meh, pass on this one.
So I'm repeating this part of the review from the other bag of apples I purchased at the same time, the Braeburns. Unfortunately, every apple in the bag arrived with some level of bruising. I appreciate it can easily happen, but it does of course cut down on the expected 'life span' of keeping the apples around. They didn't go to waste as I cooked them down with butter and cinnamon for breakfasts, etc. but I will probably keep apples to something I buy in the shops instead, as the same happened with the other bag I bought. However, an extra minus star because these aren't very pleasant to eat raw. The skin feels hard and there's something tart - but in an unpleasant way. I don't mind an apple that isn't very sweet, but this doesn't taste very good and the texture is quite mealy. Won't be repurchasing.
These apples looked lovely, nice and red. However they were not ripe at all and tasted very sour and bitter. Goodness only knows how an apple can look ripe and taste so sour
Bruised and mouldy
These apples were not delivered in good condition. Every apple was bruised and one was mouldy as well.
good for lunch boxes
Good price when on offer
These were tasty crisp apples but they were literally fun size - may I have the full size ones next time please?
