Harvested by hand, this savoy cabbage has dark green outer leaves that curl outwards at the top edges and, a tightly packed head with more dark green, crinkly leaves. Naturally high in vitamin C and a natural source of folic acid, an 80g portion is 1 of your 5 a day.
Enjoy shredded and sautéed with bacon bits or lardons for a perfect side dish to a roast, added as a handful of greens to your stir fry or, serve steamed or lightly boiled alongside your favourite meat, fish or meat-free option, potatoes and other veggies. Cooking guidelines
For best results, steam. Remove all packaging.
Cut into quarters, remove hard core and shred into required thickness. Rinse well.
Steam: 5-8 mins
Place required amount into a steamer basket over boiling water. Steam for 5-8 minutes until tender. Ensure the water does not boil dry.
Boil: 4-7 mins
Place required amount into a saucepan of boiling water. Bring back to the boil and simmer for 4-7 minutes until tender. Drain and serve.
