The first two or three weeks I ordered these the quality was great, but recently I've received mushrooms that have been in such a dry and old condition that they've had an almost stone-like appearance! Given the high price for the small amount of mushrooms provided I will not risk ordering these again. I would have continued ordering these had their quality been consistent, but the awful quality of these lately has put me off ordering them again.
Not really usable, mostly scraps that I cant wipe to clean because theyre to small
What a lovely change
LOVE these, my go to mushrooms on Ocado. I usually get mushroom ravioli and panfry them briefly with these mushrooms in a bit of truffle oil - happiness on a plate
Good product + cleaning tips
Perfect sauted with olive oil, garlic and parsley. For people complaining about how hard they are to clean: they are supposed to be cleaned with a cooking brush.
really enjoyed these mushrooms. I made a mushroom fricassee with organic chestnut mushrooms and shiitake mushrooms, and garlic, and spring onions. absolutely delicious. these mushrooms held up well in cooking they were nice and clean and the mushrooms in the box were a good size and quality. best to cook them the same day or next day else they might deteriorate which is normal.
nice tasty mushrooms
Buying these mushroom ok regular basis (with every Ocado order), as they are very tasty and go well with any dish. A bit dirty (some soil on bottoms), but as Ocado description says - Wash before use. Dont really understand why people are complaining about it! The only thing Im not sure... how can they be picked in Northern and Eastern Europe woods if its winter there and these mushrooms are very seasonal. Im from Northern Europe myself and use to pick theses mushrooms when I was a child. So, dont really believe its not simply farmed.
