Ocado Granny Smith Apples

Ocado Granny Smith Apples 6 pack.

Granny Smiths are one of the tartest and tangiest apple varieties available. They have a sharp, acidic flavour that can be quite intense and this tartness is their defining characteristic. While this tartness dominates, there is a subtle sweetness present in Granny Smiths, especially as they ripen, and you may detect hints of citrus fruits like lemon or lime alongside a 'green' flavour reminiscent of fresh grass or green leaves.

As a medium apple counts as 1 of your 5 a day, they're a perfect grab-and-go snack. You can add slices or cubes to salads for a refreshing crunch and tartness and they pair well with creamy cheeses, nuts, and dried cranberries. Granny Smiths hold their shape beautifully so bake into pies, tarts, cakes, crumbles and muffins to produce dazzling desserts.
