Firm to the touch and an even creamy white colour our parsnips have a nutty, sweet flavour when cooked but can also be eaten raw. Parsnips are a versatile vegetable that can accompany many favourite dishes. Boiled and mashed they can add a tasty twist to cottage pie.
Serving Suggestion When cooked, mash or crush thoroughly then add some cracked pepper with a teaspoon of olive oil for a lightly seasoned mash.

I found 3 huge parsnips in my bag. All of them were past their prime and showed signs of decay at the top. They also started to become rubbery. Taste was lacking and the texture was a bit too mellow. They were edible, but I definitely prefer smaller parsnips as those are finer in taste and much sweeter.
Parsnips were delivered with a 3 day shelf life. I ordered two packs for Cmas and half had started rotting with brown grainy sections going right through the vegetable. I cut these parts away but was disappointed to have bought parsnips that were not fresh as expected.
My bag had two massive doorstop like parsnips in it! Yes the description says large parsnips but the photo shows a bag of 5 or so so theres an expectation thats similar to what you get which hang the case.
