Bought mine on 30th May. Got them out to make a coconut and lime curry a couple of days later and they were already soft. I hadn't noticed the brown patches on the skin when I put away. Rescued one and had to throw one. Poor quality control. No point buying again in a weekly shop. Bring back best before dates; it might help with quality control in the shop.
Nice taste very fresh very under used fruit a little squeeze adds flavour to many dishes added bonus rub the cut fruit on your skin for a lovely scent .
Imported fruit and veg can often be hit or miss, however as limes enhance the oriental and Moroccan dishes I cook, I order the five-pack most weeks. This time I couldn't justify so many and although the twin pack does work out more expensive per fruit, both were plump, juicy and sweet. Good to know and would re-order again whenever I don't need five. Btw it would be good if Ocado did away with the plastic netting and restored best before dates on these. Having the one and doing away with the other does nothing for the consumer or the environment.
