Product information
Fresh class A. Skin on.
Our Ocado Organic chickens are reared on British farms, with the freedom to forage outdoors and an enriched environment in their shelters. They are fed on a non-GM, certified organic diet.
Because our chickens are active, explore the outdoors and are reared for longer, they develop a firmer texture with fuller flavour.
There may be a slight odour on opening which will quickly disappear. This is normal and does not affect the quality or flavour of the chicken.

I got these on a flash sale. Don’t.
I got these on a flash sale. They were really sinewy and springy. Some bits were really brown when cooked and had a gross texture. Avoid.
Soil Association certified
I've found these chicken legs to be consistently good and tasty. Plus they're produced to Soil Association standards, which means that the chickens have got even more space to roam than with other organic standards.
grey & smelly 2 days before best before
Awful. Bought in flash sale and now I know why it was being pushed
Tough and Bone Heavy
The packet of these I received were very boney legs with little meat. I normally get around a 50-60% meat yield by weight, but these were only around 40%. The other thing I noticed, which I've not experienced with other brands (organic or not) are little brown blood clots throughout the drumstick. I'm wondering if that's the "brown blob" referred to in an earlier review. They're fine, and safe etc, but still strange to see them and doesn't feel like the butchery was done with care. Like a lot of Ocado's organic chicken, the meat was tough. The flavour was okay, but really lacking compared to other brands' offerings. I guess you get what you pay for, as the other brands are a bit more expensive.
Good size, fresh drumsticks
Nice ingredients for my chicken soup
Pretty good
I got this on a flash sale so it was good value. I cooked the chicken in a stew and found the meat tender and flavoursome. But then again it could be the stew!
