It also works beautifully dolloped onto warm porridge or stirred into a bowl of natural yoghurt, adding a rich sweetness without the mess.

When warmed, set honey can be used in the same way as runny honey. You can melt it down to use as a sweetener in sauces and marinades, or add it to dressings for a rich, golden flavour.
