Product Information
Ocado Pink Lady® Apples 6 pack.
Pink Lady® apples were developed in the 1970s in Western Australia. They are a cross between Golden Delicious and Lady Williams varieties, with a distinctive pinkish-red blush over a creamy yellow background. Typically medium-sized, an 80g apple is 1 of your 5 a day, and the flesh is crisp, juicy, and a bright white colour.
Pink Lady® apples are known for their perfect balance of sweetness and tartness, with slight hints of vanilla, spice, or even a slight citrusy tang in the flavour. Grown in the world's finest wine regions, Pink Lady® apples are the first apples to blossom and the last to be harvested. This extra time on the tree, a warm climate and the best possible soils allow these apples to develop their special blush and sweet crunch.
You can enjoy them in a variety of ways. Pair slices with peanut butter, hummus, or yogurt for a satisfying snack, add diced to green salads or pair with blue cheese or goat cheese, and nuts like walnuts or pecans. They're also ideal for sweet pies, tarts, crumbles, and cakes and as well as savoury dishes including pork, poultry, and game meats.
