Makes really nice enchiladas we tend to only use half the spice mix as dont like it too spicy. Prefer them before they rebranded them
Tasty, but confusing instructions!
Replaced chicken for Waitrose fajita rump steak slices and added onions and red peppers while frying the meat as others suggested. Made a really tasty and filling meal served alongside some homemade Mexican rice. However, I found the instructions on the pack very unclear. In the pack are tortillas, a packet of seasoning powder and two pouches of cooking sauce (not quite sure why there are two as they are identical and we only needed to use one, otherwise wouldve been far too runny). Three steps on the box to make the enchiladas. Step one makes reference to adding tomato paste. So I was already confused at this point as there is nothing labelled tomato paste in the kit. I added my own tomato paste not knowing how much to add, then after realised when it didnt look that liquidy that this was meant to have said the cooking sauce! Step two was fine, but then three instructs add tomato salsa. Again there is nothing labelled salsa in the pack. None of the steps mention the cooking sauce!
nice when you want something different.
we have enchiladas every now and again and always use this kit. I use the Quorn fillets instead of chicken and they really compliment the tortilla and tomato sauce. I add a good dollop of sour cream to the pan with the cheese and it helps take out the slightly acidic taste of the tomatoes.
Really tasty but can get a bit sickly. We add mixed veg or pepper to vary it up a bit. One of our favs.
Gorgeous, easy to make, add a red pepper and more cheese and dilute the sauce down more, you can almost double the amount of water you add to give more saucy goodness. One of our favourites
Perfect for a quick and yummy after work meal. Very tasty.
