Our OrchardWorld Apple box contains a number of seasonal varieties in order to keep you supplied all year round with fabulous flavours, below are just some of the varieties you can expect to find our box:

Royal Gala Apples

This mild, sweet, succulent variety has a firm, crisp crunch with a fine texture and a beautiful aroma. It has an attractive orange/red blush and a streaky complexion, with extreme popularity.

The Royal Gala originates from New Zealand back in the 1930’s and is the result of a cross variety of the Golden Delicious and Kidd’s Orange Red bringing a very distinctive variety to the table.

Kanzi

This mild, sharp, succulent variety has a firm, crisp crunch with a fine texture and a beautiful aroma. It has an attractive red blush with sporadic patches of yellow/green making it look extremely vibrant. It actually is a cross between the Gala and Braeburn variety which has inherited their combined best qualities. The name ‘Kanzi’ means ‘Hidden Treasure’ in Swahili originating from and being perfected by the Belgians, first reaching the European market in 2006.

Cripps Red Apples

Cripps Red is a balanced sweet/acidic variety with a dense flesh that has an unusual spongy quality in texture, a crisp crunch, and a beautiful aroma. It has an attractive red blush and distinctive white lenticels making it look extremely vibrant. It is a late season variety coming from the same family as the exclusive Pink Lady Apple, but is actually a cross between the ‘Lady Williams’ and ‘Golden Delicious’ varieties inheriting their combined best qualities.
