Tasting Notes
The very ample nose expresses intense red berry and pink grapefruit aromas. This refreshing promise is affirmed in the mouth by dominant notes of raspberry and redcurrant underscored by the freshness of citrus. This rosé wine’s harmony and perfect balance prolongs the pleasure of tasting in a long, sweet finale. Perfect with saffron risotto with langoustines.
History
Château la Gordonne is an historical domain founded in 17th century. The bell seen on the bottle is the Château’s historically listed emblem, dating back to 1654. It originates from a former chapel located on the grounds of La Gordonne. First harvest at the vineyard was in 1652 and the estate has been producing exquisite cuvées ever since.
Regional Information
Château La Gordonne is established in Pierrefeu-du-Var, in the heart of the Golden Triangle of Provence. It is a unique property in Provence, covering vineyards planted on seaward-facing terraces of shale, which enjoy a special microclimate. This allows the vineyards to grow in the best conditions to produce high-quality grapes. Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault grapes are planted in schist-based soil and mature in a harmonious balance with our terroir under the Provençal sun.

Very nice wine
I’m reviewing this product because I got a free coupon from Ocado. Enjoyed this fruity, refreshing wine with friends during current hot weather. Would recommend this wine and will be buying in the future.
A beautiful wine
A really delicious, light rosé wine. All of my guests loved it. Highly recommended. Will be buying more!
Lovely cotes de Provence rose
A fresh crisp rose we paired with a bbq on a hot summers evening. Great value for money, light and refreshing. Highly recommend!
Not worth the money
OK wine but not very tasty and therefore not worth the not insignificant asking price.
Refreshing Côtes de Provence Rosé
Beautiful when enjoyed chilled. Beautiful hot weather and a great bbq lunch — we married this rosé with grilled trout and it was sublime! Enjoy!
